What is Drawn Words?

Drawn Words is a project by Kevin Cortez (left) and Estevan Sanchez (right). The purpose of the blog was to show people how artists and writers could work together to present articles, stories, and other tidbits of literature/journalism. Imagine replacing a photographer with an artist who reflects his or her own style into a piece, or a written portion of an event or critique written in comic book form. That’s what we want to do. We want it to be known that it’s doable , it’s fun, and it should be presented more often than it currently is.

So on DrawnWords.com, you’ll get a mixture of content from Kevin Cortez and Estevan Sanchez. We update weekly with content, whether it be an article or story we both worked on, or just a standalone picture or journal entry. We cover whatever we feel like talking about or presenting.

We also do comic book reviews for independent publishers. We like doing those a lot.
